A tweet was received from the official Twitter Account,” Hello literally everyone”. Which is a reference used by Twitter to troll other apps and also to welcome users that are moving to Twitter for any news.
Facebook app Outage Report
According to down Detectors, millions of users around the globe reported this outage. Whatsapp website showing 5xx server error while Facebook is just showing that ” something went wrong.” For now, Facebook hasn’t written any cause of “why is Facebook down today” but a tweet was received from Facebook showing they are trying to resolve this error.

Day after the whistleblower went public, the FB inc services reported a significant outage according to the down detector ( A website measuring the web activities and monitor traffic)

According to the down detector, the Facebook outage was reported on October 4th, 2021, at 8:42 PM based on 78,391 reports. Most users were disturbed and checking their internet connection and mobile phones, but the fact was that the backend server was down.
Even the Oculus VR users reported that browsing is ok, but social media features like uploading pictures and other social media interactions are down.
The same report was launched by WhatsApp on Twitter, reporting, “We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!”.
