Zuckerberg Metaverse is an updated concept of virtual reality which is “To connect the real world into a virtual world by the internet”. Facebook company is now becoming a meta company.
Facebook changing name to Meta:
Facebook is changing its company name from Facebook to “Meta”. Facebook wants to convert its company into a metaverse company. If you search in the google search bar “meta.com”, this URL will redirect you towards “about.facebook.com/meta” which tells you all about the new meta company.
Why is Facebook changing name to Meta?
Within the last year, people were criticizing Facebook for leaking people’s personal information, encouraging violating stuff, and blasphemy, etc.
So, this is a concept of some people that Facebook is changing its company name to reduce the previous faults and to create a positive image in people’s minds about the new meta company.
On the other side, Mark Zuckerberg has told in their speech that their brand is so tightly linked to only one product. It can’t possibly represent everything that we’re doing today. So, they want to be seen as a metaverse company, not as Facebook.

“It is time for us to adopt a new company brand to encompass everything that we do. To reflect who we are, and what we hope to build, I am proud to announce that starting today our company is now Meta”.
